Hui Hoon graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS). A registered Architect and certified Green Mark Professional, Hui Hoon holds a Specialist Diploma in BIM. Finding resonance in WOHA’s work and design thinking, Hui Hoon joined WOHA in 2018.
Hui Hoon’s interest has been in creating socially conducive spaces and how architecture can response to the immediate concerns and challenges. Her work is guided by a belief that architecture has a duty to address the needs of its inhabitants and also to be environmentally responsive and relevant.
Hui Hoon’s current research work focuses on creating innovative designs and solutions that can help strengthen Singapore’s food and energy resiliency and the application of circular thinking in the planning and design of the built environment so that a circular ecosystem can be achieved throughout the lifespan of our built environment.
She is currently one of the key personnel for the 12ha first phase of Punggol Digital District, an integrated smart business park development – part of a wider district master plan which was also conceived by WOHA.
