WOHA began in 1994 with the partnership of Wong Mun Summ and Richard Hassell. Based in Singapore, they are now acknowledged as Southeast Asia\u2019s best known and most influential architects, they have received an unprecedented number of international awards, reflecting both their regionally specific understanding and their thinking for the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This book features 24 of WOHA\u2019s recent projects and prototypes for the new Asian mega-cities. Completed Singapore projects include the Parkroyal on Pickering Hotel, the Space Furniture showroom, Goodwood Residence, two private houses and two commercial projects. Other completed projects include CapitaMall in Chengdu, and The Grove in Guangzhou. Large scale schemes for sustainable and sociable living in Asia are also featured, as well as projects currently under construction.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The dramatically designed book is introduced by several essays by Patrick Bingham-Hall, which examine the context and culture of urban Asia, and explain the evolution of WOHA’s ideas and proposals.\u00a0Selected Projects Volume 2\u00a0comprises the most up-to-date coverage of WOHA’s architecture.<\/p>\n
